The Typewriter-Something

Entry No. 8 from the Compendium of Somethings.

The Typewriter-Something is the 8th entry in the first volume of The Compendium of Somethings.

The purpose of this prototype concept was to explore the potential in repurposing old hardware for the purpose of electronic sound control and audio event triggering. Using the existing form-factor of an old metal typewriter, this device has been transformed into a peripheral that is compatible with DAW software environments through minimal physical alteration and the use of embeddable microcontroller electronics.
